Explore behind-the-scenes details for the capsules featured on the exterior and interior displays of the Moment Vault.

Water Wall
- There are six animal characters in this feature that personify the nature of Florida: loggerhead turtle, largemouth bass, alligator, Florida panther, Florida black bear, and brown pelican. The characters form as the stones slide and recess to reveal their heads, which slowly come to life, first with subtle eye movements, and finally by mischievously spouting water at one another.

Vines
- The three exterior walls with “magic” stones create the starting points for flowering bougainvilleas, which cascade from the blocks on the upper reaches of the wall and climb up from below. Butterflies emerge from crevices within the wall and begin to take over. Yellow and orange butterflies, which were previously camouflaged by the flowering plants, enter the scene.

Ferns
- The vast majority of the wall in this capsule is covered in different species of ferns, forming a remarkable pattern of textures and different shades of green, the feathery plants move as if blown by circling air currents.

Leaves
- Leafy vines uncurl and grow on the top of the screens all the way down to the bottom, covering the previous content in a green wall. Using a motion not unlike theater curtains, the mass of green leaves pulls up to reveal new content. The vine species are native to Florida.

Springs
- Location: Silver Springs
- Florida springs are a natural wonder, with more than 600 freshwater springs statewide. This capsule takes the viewer underwater at Silver Springs to reveal the abundant wildlife in a crystal-clear stream. Filmed in high-speed, this scene shows all the beauty of this underwater world, from fish movements to the sun rays and their associated multicolored caustics piercing the water.

Orlando Night
- Location: Lake Eola
- This capsule represents the colorful reflection of downtown Orlando, featuring the city lights stretching out on Lake Eola, shimmering as they bounce, ripple, and refract off the dark water. Viewers immerse themselves in a high contrast abstract scene that takes inspiration from the hundreds of lakes in the Orlando area.

NASA Hubble
- Location: Orlando International Airport (Latitude 28° 26 N Longitude 81° 18 W)
- Photographed by the Hubble Space Telescope, this journey through the equinoxes and solstices as seen from the airport showcases celestial objects and bodies, like nebulas, which can be observed at the Astronomical Twilight End of each of these moments.

Wall (Transition)
- This is a transitory moment where viewers encounter an inviting mossy concrete wall. To transport viewers to the next chapter, the wall opens to reveal a magical sunlight underwater oasis behind it.

Orlando Kaleidoscope - Clouds
- Location: Satellite Beach
- In this immersive and interactive installation, participants are reflected kaleidoscopically upon an Orlando setting. This plays with the notion that the splendors of Orlando are infinitely “changed” according to the experiences of the visitors. The cloud motifs celebrate how visitors create Orlando as much as Orlando creates their experience.

Orlando Kaleidoscope - Springs
- Location: Crystal River
- In this immersive and interactive installation, participants are reflected kaleidoscopically upon an Orlando setting. This plays with the notion that the splendors of Orlando are infinitely “changed” according to the experiences of the visitors. The water springs' motifs celebrate how visitors create Orlando as much as Orlando creates their experience.

Orlando Time Slice
- Location: Lake Eola Park
- This conceptual and interactive installation uses footage of a single setting at three different times of day to visually contemplate the nature of time. When visitors enter the Moment Vault, their image is inserted into the shifting strips of time. Their presence becomes the present, inserting itself into something that was filmed in the past.

Moving Mirror
- This abstract interactive installation is designed to provide a moment of calm for travelers as they enter a peaceful landscape and find versions of themselves gently floating over still waters. The experience features a mirrored landscape in a 360-degree 3-D environment, with a mirror effect of Florida’s famous pastel skies.

School of Fish
- Visitors are transported into a minimalist photorealistic underwater world, in a full 360-degree immersion, where they discover a harmonious underwater scene and are invited to contemplate a school of fish swimming in the distance. Their presence is then detected by the fish, which are attracted by this mysterious silhouette. The fish instantly school around the user’s position and gracefully swim around the silhouette of the invisible avatar, mimicking the user’s every movement.

Bioluminescence
- The bioluminescence of phytoplankton is a phenomenon specific to Central Florida. Taking inspiration from this chemical reaction that creates this light, the inside of the Moment Vault depicts a dark underwater environment. As users enter the space, their motion leaves a trail of light particles, mimicking the phenomenon of a whimsical night dive amongst planktons.

Red Planet
- For many decades, the moon has been the ultimate symbol of spatial exploration. Its mighty conquest by mankind in 1969 is forever sealed in our collective memories. Technology has reached new heights ever since, offering us boundless dreams and objectives to attain. This capsule offers a journey through space and toward Mars where users transform into transparent entities that attract sand and dust when their bodies are detected. As they create movement, the elements shift according to the force of these movements, using the laws of physics specific to the planet Mars.

Hide & Seek
- Travelers are whisked into an enchanted forest, lit by the soothing flight of woodland fireflies. These mysterious creatures, with atypical luminous properties, harmoniously illuminate the night of this mystic wood. Their nocturnal dance is disturbed by the presence of users, whose invisible silhouettes attract the most curious of them. They then begin to revolve around this transparent avatar, in a harmonious and balanced manner, dictated by the movement of the user's body.

Springs
- Location: Silver Springs
- This highly immersive and contemplative capsule transports the viewer to an emblematic Florida spring, Silver Springs, and features a surprise manatee appearance. All three screens are filled with abundant wildlife, giving the viewer a feeling of being completely surrounded by the environment. Did you find the turtle?

Manatees
- Location: Crystal River
- Florida’s famous underwater creatures are featured in this capsule, which was filmed in Crystal River, a springs network made famous for allowing visitors to swim alongside manatees. The gentle giants gracefully meander across the screens as ribbons of light flicker through the waters and schools of fish glimmer by, creating an immersive and contemplative atmosphere.

Fantastic Orlando
- This surrealist tableau contains several scenes that unfold across the three massive screens making up the Moment Vault interior. Throughout the sequence, the colorful capsule undulates between both under and above water to highlight a collection of iconic subjects from Central Florida and beyond, including architectural structures, flora and fauna, historic sites, and more.

Folding (Transition)
- This transition is used between every capsule on the Moment Vault interior. Its design echoes the reflecting facets of the Kaleidoscope interactive capsules.
